Do you have a free plan?

We don't but there is a generous 30 day free trial so you can try Marzipan out. You can cancel at any time.

Can I pay for a year in advance?

Of course. Just selected the yearly plan and register as normal. Plus you'll get two months free!

Why do you ask for a credit card up front?

Primarily to help us reduce spam sign-ups but it also ensures that only serious businesses sign up. You can cancel at any time (during and after the trial).

What payment methods do you offer?

We accept all major cards and can accomodate other payment methods on our annual plans with at least a two year commitment.

Does the pricing include tax?

All prices are shown excluding taxes that may be applicable based on your business location.

What happens if we move to the next revenue tier during a billing cycle?

If you're paying monthly we'll move you to the next tier at the start of your next billing cycle and charge you accordingly. If you're on an annual plan we review monthly and we'll pro-rata the difference and invoice you accordingly; your plan will then renew at the apppropriate rate on the expected renewal date.

Is Marzipan right for me?

Marzipan is a subscription and commerce platform that allows you to sell your one-time and subscription products without additional plugins or cost. We're a small, bootstrapped, UK based business.

What payment gateways do you support?

Marzipan integrates with Stripe and PayPal for payment processing. Currently you must use Stripe for recurring subscriptions/club memberships.

Do you handle VAT/tax calculations?

Yes, Marzipan automatically calculates applicable taxes based on your customers' location and your business settings.

Can I offer discounts or coupons?

Absolutely. You can create percentage or fixed-amount discounts, time-limited offers, and unique coupon codes for your customers.

Can I offer free trials for my subscriptions?

Yes, you can set up free trials for any subscription plan. You can specify the trial length and whether or not to require payment information upfront.

How do subscription cancellations work?

Customers can cancel their subscriptions at any time through their account dashboard. You can also configure whether cancellations take effect immediately or at the end of the billing period.

Can I offer different billing frequencies?

Yes, you can set up monthly, quarterly, annual, or custom billing cycles for your subscription products.
